NYE at Chill Winston

Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a great end to 2012 and an even better start to 2013.  I know I sure did.

This year I went to Chill Winston for NYE.  I had really wanted to go out for New Year's, but didn't want to have to stand in line or pay an exorbitant cover charge.  After a little bit of research, I discovered that Chill Winston was charging absolutely no cover AND they were accepting reservations.  I was lucky enough to book the couches which allowed 9 of us to arrive at 9:45 and walk straight in to our comfy seats.

In my opinion it was the perfect way to spend New Year's.  Fabulous friends, delicious drinks, yummy food, complimentary NYE hats, noise makers and glass of sparkling champagne, a countdown illuminated on their brick wall, regular prices, fabulous service, great music that took us back to the 90's and early 2000's, and, to top it all off, it was very easy to get to and from Chill Winston via transit.  I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the evening!  So, if you're looking for somewhere to spend NYE at next year, I highly recommend it.

Needless to say, I had way too much fun with the complimentary NYE hat and noise maker.

Ritual Sacrifice, one of the spectacular and unique cocktails on Chill Winston's drink list.  This one was gin-based, with orange syrup and grapefruit flavouring...delicious!  Approximately $10.

One heck of a meat and cheese platter!  I believe it was between $15 and $20.

My Endive Salad with Steelhead Trout, candied walnuts, pear slices, grapefruit slices, radicchio and a blue-cheese dressing.  This salad had a bit more radicchio in it than I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it.  ($15)
